Dulcey Heller is making gifts! She writes:

Here’s an idea for people for gifts to bead. It’s the standard bead
ball, 12 sides, that we’ve seen in many incarnations. My small
alternation is to put sequins on the center of each side. For these,
I’ve used slightly cupped sequins, 2 facing each other, so they have
some dimensionality, like a rondelle. I want to try a single flat
sequin sometime, as well. The bonus is that they are very light –
I’d like to try these as a pair of earrings, dangling on something
flexible. These 3 are going to be a gift as a set. If I were
intending them as jewelry (instead of tsotchkes), I would put a
soldered jump ring on a corner as I was beading. Adding the sequins
makes it rather difficult to drop a chain or cord through the ball,
like usual.

  1. Hi Cyndi,
I wound up here via a google search that mentioned tags for handmade–is this a service you offer?–metal tags with a jeweler’s logo?

  2. Cyndi says:

No, I’m sorry, but I don’t know why this post would have popped up. This is an educationally oriented blog for the most part. Try Microstamps or Rio Grande. I bought my stamp and buy my tags from Rio.
