The best advice I ever received was simply ‘Follow Your Dreams’. Look deep in your heart and do what you’re passionate about. Too many of us learn the hard way by suffering through jobs we don’t like or constantly catering to others needs and ignoring ourselves. Take care of yourself first. You’re no use to anyone else if you’re unhappy. Set aside time at least once a week to do something for you, whether it’s beading, jewelry-making or whatever it may be. Believe in yourself and follow your heart!

Thanks, Cyndi!
My pleasure
Erin, You are wise beyond your years.
I’ve gotten much good advice but most of it didn’t come till later in my life and it came from my spiritual teachers. Here’s one got today!
“There is not a stream of badness and a stream of goodness, or sickness or wellness. There is only a Stream of Well-being. The question that you’re wanting to ask yourself is, “In this moment, am I letting it in or not? Am I allowing it or am I not?” “
The best advice I ever received is when my mom found out that me, Timmy and Missy had stolen from the local mini-mart and she sat us down and told us that this life you are living is a gift and not a dress rehearsal. At the time, I didn’t understand the true meaning of what she said, but by the tone in her voice, I knew this had to be serious stuff. I should say that we did grow up to be law abiding citizens. LOL!
That’s just about the best advice that any parent could ever give, Sheila!
