I taught all needlecrafts in a small yarn shop in Greenwich Village while my son was young. When he was about 12, I began learning to be a goldsmith, studying under Robert Kulicke, a magnificent artist. In that time I learned granulation and handmade chain weaving with 22kt gold and fine silver. As I was learning, I was also and apprentice- teacher for 4 years. During that time and after I also studied modern metal techniques, honing my skills.
In 1999, after moving to Philadelphia, I took my first beadweaving class through the Bead Society of Greater New York. Very soon thereafter I began teaching my new passion. I’m now an instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the United Federation of Teachers in New York City and I teach very often at The Bead Garden in Havertown PA. The atmosphere at this shop is so welcoming and people come away excited to expand their skills.
At this point and at this age, I have found my “home” as an artist.

Beautiful work!
First pic looks looks like whimsical melons. Very good work. I like the bracelets because we all have that container of beads that goes back 30 or 40 years from our earliest days as beaders (Mine goes back to at least 1972.) Jeri the flower looks like almost something you would see growing in a distant rain forest. All great work, well done.
Hi Jeri,
I love the netted balls!!! They’re delicious. So glad to see you published on-line. Well deserved.

I find that I want a whole stack of these beaded beads, Jeri!
All of Jeri’s work is beautiful. Besides being a talented designer of bead work she is also a very good teacher.
Lovely work.
Lovely beading from a talented lady.
