Funny how I managed to get “unisex” and “quickie” in the same blog post title, huh?
But, I’m talking about cell phone charms again. Not only can these be unisex jewelry items depending on the materials you use, but they are nice quick projects, a little something to tuck into a stocking or give out to co-workers which won’t cost you a lot of time or money. Men are notoriously difficult to buy or make something for as far as gifts. Okay, I got to admit…I think this beaded doll charm is so cute! Even if I do say so myself. I’m working on writing up the instructions very soon, so look for them in the next few days.
If you have any seed bead weaving experience, then you can probably see that basically I used a fringe technique to create the arms and legs, and then her head is a bead tip.
One tip – either double your thread or make sure you go back and weave your thread back through all the beads before finishing off or she might not survive …read more
