Charm swap rules:
* Create up to five original charms. Keeping in mind that the charms will later be a part of a piece of jewelry, please keep them to 1 1/2″ in diameter or smaller.
* Your charm must be free of any text or images that are protected by copyright, unless you have the expressed written permission from the person or institution that holds the copyright and you provide that written permission with your submission.
* Attach a jump ring to each charm.

Awhile ago, I showed you the charm that I made for a collaborative project with other mixed media artists; the finished product in the Ties That Bind project will be auctioned off to benefit ovarian cancer research. The handmade doll that is being constructed will have decorated ties around her waist to form a skirt, and many charms all around the bodice.

How could I ever say no to my friend Aileen Roberts? First she flatters me by asking me to participate in a collaborative project with other mixed media artists, some of whom I know and others whom I’d like to know, and then she tells me that the finished product will be auctioned off to benefit ovarian cancer research.
