		<description><![CDATA[The Bead &#38; Button Show is almost upon us!   Although most people who are going have already made their plans, perhaps this is the first time you&#8217;re hearing about it.  Or maybe you have changed your schedule recently, and you&#8217;re wondering if it&#8217;s too late.

The answer is NO!  You can still go, but you&#8217;ve got to make your plans NOW!!  The show starts on May 31, so visit the link above and see what classes are still available.  If you just want to go for the socializing and shopping, there&#8217;s all the info you need at that link too.

When you&#8217;re going to embroider a piece of fabric and then glue it onto a structure, use either ultra-suede or buckram as the foundation, depending upon how heavy the beads and bits are going to be. 		<description><![CDATA[I&#8217;ve got two articles in the issue of Jewelry Crafts magazine currently on the newsstand.  The first is a spin on an Art Nouveau classic design, called Princess Hyacinth.   Here&#8217;s the princess:

She&#8217;s a pretty one, isn&#8217;t she? She&#8217;s the work of Alphonse Mucha, a brilliant printmaker who lived from 1860 to 1939. The poster was an advertisment for a fairy tale ballet of the same name, and she inspired this piece:

Obviously, you could use any picture you wanted in this necklace, not just Princess Hyacinth
