The main section of Margie’s report takes each of these ten directional colors and provides a report on Delicas and Swarovski beads that represent each. She then provides several suggested palettes for using that color, including color schemes that will delight both the classic and the avant garde among us. I was particularly interested in the palettes she came up with to feature Warm Olive, not a color I especially like. But I liked the palettes, so go figure!

It just goes to show that in the hands of a master colorist, any color can be maximized to be its best. The full report is $9.95 and can be purchased on MargieDeeb.com

Something I truly love can be found on the Rings & Things website: they’ve got links to the beads in their catalog which work with each of the profiled Pantone colors. What a wonderful idea! Thanks guys

Do you pay much attention to the color and style forecasts? I vasillate between telling myself that it matters because I’m trying to sell my work, and feeling that I really don’t give a fig. What about you?

Read the full report by Pantone and see the glorious colors they’re predicting for fall fashions.
Best described as a season of change, fall ’08 is defined by rich, elegant hues that offer a vibrant selection. New York’s fashion designers emphasize cooler blues, greens and purples in the top five tones used in their collections, followed by variations of warm red, orange and yellow.

Variations on popular colors such as energizing red, cool, waterborne blue and eco-friendly green also play a key role this season.
