Finally a Pearl Bracelet

I realized I was sort of on a pearl earring trend there for awhile, so here’s something a little different but still in the pearl theme I’m doing this month: a Woven Pearl Bracelet project.
Since making my first one of these, I’ve made a number of them, sold them, given them as gifts, etc. A nice extra touch is to add a charm to the jump ring at the end that attaches to the spring ring clasp. It helps to keep the bracelet balance to that the clasp stays under the wrist, and it looks nice too.

I had lunch with one of my best bead buddies today. It is always a treat to hang with bead lovers because we all have to wear some of best bead bling. This is what I chose: African stitch bracelet with tigers-eye toggle clasp; a pair of bead and wire earrings from my bead and wire book (Making Designer Bead and Wire Jewelry: Techniques for Unique Designs and Handmade Findings); and a netting stitch necklace, actually one of my first beadweaving pieces from years ago when I was just learning. Beaded Doll Cell Phone Charm

Okay, I got to admit…I think this beaded doll charm is so cute! Even if I do say so myself. I’m working on writing up the instructions very soon, so look for them in the next few days.
If you have any seed bead weaving experience, then you can probably see that basically I used a fringe technique to create the arms and legs, and then her head is a bead tip.
One tip – either double your thread or make sure you go back and weave your thread back through all the beads before finishing off or she might not survive …read more
