Keeping the Castle

A Decorating Glossary

If you know your color wheel, you probably have an idea of the difference between accent and analogous colors. But do you know what a dhurrie or a kilim is? Both were mentioned in Sophie Kinsella’s novel “Shopaholic and Sister”, which I recently read, but I had no idea what either were. Until now. Both are woven floor accessories. A kilim is made in the Middle East, while a dhurrie is from India.
