Blender and Mason Jar Tip from Simply Recipes

This is a really cool and useful tip for using a mason jar with a blender, which I found on Simply Recipes. Apparently, this was common knowledge many years ago. Blender manufacturers even used to include a mason jar in the packaging with the blender.
You’ll have to try whether your particular blender will fit the mouth of the jar. You can also try a mayonnaise jar, if that’s what you have. You can use it to grind spices, make whipped cream, crush cornflakes for Cornflake Chicken, etc. You can then use the jar for storage!
I tried it out using a handful of Cheerios (it was just what was handy at the time), and it works!
