Are you a lover of gourmet food? Do you love to try out new cheeses, spices and sweets? Are you looking for Spanish pardina lentils? Fieschi Mostarda Ciliege? White truffle salt?
I think you’ll enjoy this shop I got wind of today.
The Formaggio Kitchen, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a gourmet foods shop that offers unique items that aren’t found just anywhere. Here’s what you’ll find there:
… small production artisan cheeses & charcuterie, hand-made sweets, staples for your pantry, hard-to-find spices and salts, and gifts for food lovers everywhere. Each product is hand-selected by our staff – from organic Tuscan fruit preserves to single estate Provencal extra virgin oils, our shelves overflow with treasures you’ll come to love and cherish as much as we do. Let us introduce you to some of the world’s most wonderful foods and their artisan producers.
Some of their products I’ve never even heard of. But they sure sound exciting! Something to try for 2007, perhaps?
Check it out … the Formaggio Kitchen.

Formaggio is my FAVORITE store in Boston- I have lived in Delaware since 94 and still regularly jones for the unbelievable cheese, salami, olives, madelines….EVERYTHING! When I am home visiting my parents I insist on a visit, and long to live in Cambridge so I can walk over to grab lunch and the fixings for dinner. The attached store next door has beautiful flowers and the fish market next door has wonderfully fresh things as well, if anyone was thinking of heading to a site visit on Huron Ave. Oh, I think there may be one in downtown Boston as well. ENJOY!!!
Ooooh, I envy you, picklemommy. If ever I’m in Cambridge, this store is a must-see!
