Jig-A-loo It’s been a while since my last giveaway and I’m excited to host this awesome package of a prize from the makers of Jig-A-Loo.

What’s Jig-A-Loo? Jig-A-Loo is a highly useful can to have around the house. It’s a lubricant that “stops squeaks, un-sticks just about anything, protects against rust, and is an exceptional water repellent”. You need to get on the company website to find out more because one lucky reader will win a year’s supply of Jig-A-Loo (3 10.9 oz cans) and $150 Home Depot gift card.

To enter, leave a comment telling us how you’ll use Jig-A-Loo to prepare your home for the fall/winter/rainy season. This giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada. Contest closes on 11:59 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008. Only one comment per household will be eligible.

Sounds great! I would give it to my husband and let him have fun with it.

  12. Tina says:

I have a retractable awning so I would most definitely use it on that. It would be smart to spray the new gardening tools I bought this year so they stay nice and shiny. I know my husband would use it on all of his outdoor equipment. The thing I like most is that I could use it on my children’s boots! No more cold and wet feet!

  13. Lorie says:

I NEED THIS! We have an issue with the ‘exhaust air pipe thing’ (totally technical terms) leaking water when it rains. We are in Arizona, so it doesn’t rain a ton, but when it does we have to turn off our AC/Heater.

I get COLD even in the winters here and turning off my heater is NOT AN OPTION!

  14. Alyse says:

I will use it on my sqeaky stroller wheel to so I can get around the mall this winter

  15. Natasha says:

I’m sure my husband could go absolutely crazy with this! I however have some very specific winterizing that I would like to use it for – I would spray the hardware for opening/closing our windows and use it on my little man’s outdoor swing set where the swings attach to the metal pole, finally on our outdoor patio furniture that swivels! Great product, thank you for the giveaway!

  16. Tahsha says:

Using it on the lawn mower under the deck for the winter is a great idea!

  17. Rebecca R. says:

I would try it out first on one of my children’s bikes that has a rusted chain. After that, I am sure I could find plenty of other places to use it!

  18. Danielle says:

What an awesome giveaway. If we win, my husband will put the GC to great use! :-)

We love Jig-A-Loo, and have some in our house all the time. I use it regularly to quiet those squeaking door hinges (nothing worse than waking up baby with a creaking door!), and we’ve used it to help ease window slides as well. It’s also effective for lubricating locks, like when our sliding glass door started trying to hold onto our house key! And we’ve successfully used it on our lawnmower to protect the metal parts and loosen stubborn wheels, and we’ve used it on our shovels, for both summer and winter use. It’s even helped get a ring off of a finger! :-)

This stuff is great, and has so many uses, plus with the little straw that comes with it, you can get at almost any spot you’d need to. We use it to prep our metal tools for the rainy weather, and we use it as needed to combat the effects changes in temperature have on our door and window frames.

Thanks so much for the giveaway!

Oh my gosh – it’s exactly what I need to finally fix the LOUD garage door that never gets off the honey-do list! Now I can do it myself! You could wake the neighbors when you open it! I would also use it to keep the car locks from freezing up! (Because I can’t actually get the car IN the garage – another undone honey-do.)
