It’s been a while since my last giveaway and I’m excited to host this awesome package of a prize from the makers of Jig-A-Loo.
What’s Jig-A-Loo? Jig-A-Loo is a highly useful can to have around the house. It’s a lubricant that “stops squeaks, un-sticks just about anything, protects against rust, and is an exceptional water repellent”. You need to get on the company website to find out more because one lucky reader will win a year’s supply of Jig-A-Loo (3 10.9 oz cans) and $150 Home Depot gift card.
To enter, leave a comment telling us how you’ll use Jig-A-Loo to prepare your home for the fall/winter/rainy season. This giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada. Contest closes on 11:59 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008. Only one comment per household will be eligible.

I always need something to stop those squeaks!
Our doors, windows, the lawnmower and other garden tools. I’ve got tons of of stuff that need this.
I’d use it on my snowblower and snow shovels to make shoveling just a little easier. I’d also use it waterproof my shoes.
Wow, I never knew it has so many uses. I will use it on my children’s swingset so it doesn’t squeak so loud. I will use it on my children’s boots and shoes to make them water repellant. I will use it on my window ledges and doors to make them rain and moisture proof. I can list many more but that would take quite awhile, what a great product !!
I will use it on my automatic garage door opener. Every time I open that darned thing, it sounds like a thousand mice being tossed into a leaf chipper, one after another.
I would loosen the door hinges on all those doors that are swollen from our recent rains.
I would use it on door hinges.
GARAGE DOOR TRACKS!
I think it would be good for our back door – we have a lot of problems with it!
I need this for the hindges on the front door
I am remodeling my basement and I want to spray it on everything! OK, maybe just some ducts and pipes to prevent rusting and that squeaky chair.
The door hinges and locks plus windows would benefit from Jig-a-Loo. I need help getting my house in the country ready for winter! Thanks!
I would use it on my work car door hinges. it sits outside and is subject to rust and squeaks due to the weather.
Jig-A-Loo is definitely going to get a workout at our home. I plan to use it on all our doors, including our garage door and Patio door.
I would use it on the back door – it’s sliding glass and it’s not easy to open or close. I’d also love to try it on our fishing reels!!! Thanks for the giveaway!
My husband would be so proud of me if I won this for him! Thanks, Cindi
Definitely use it on the lawn mower.
door hinges
I would spray the track of my garage door and the inside of my windows so they would open easier. I’d also use it on the back screen door so maybe it wouldn’t squeak so loud. The older kids always seem to wake the baby up with that door.
During the course of the winter season, our sliding glass doors will typically need a non-freezing lubricant application 2-3 times.
Jig-A-Loo sounds perfect for the element(s)…
Id use it for these squiky doors.
We have an old house with alot of doors and old, old windows that are stuck. I would use it on the old stuck windows first so I could clean them up before winter time…Then I’d hit the garage door, it is always hard to open because of the hinges on it. This stuff would be perfect for that.
We just bought a house and would use this all over.
I would like to try it on some of the squeaks in my car.
I would use it to lube all the joints + protect all of my garden tools after I scrubbed them clean w/ a touch of bleach after a hard summer of yard work – not to mention I have a few doors and windows that need attention;)
Jig A Loo sounds like a very useful, versatile product! I would be curious to try it in my house, which is in decent shape for it’s age of 20 years but definitely has a few “aches and pains” that could use fixing! The windows tend to stick, the foyer floor creaks, and we have a leak in the attic roof. I’d love to see what Jig A Loo could do for some of these issues!
I will use Jig-A-Loo to help open windows to let in some cool fall breezes.
Thanks for sponsoring this contest!
I would use it on the doors and windows.
Doors/hinges
All of our doors are so squeaky, and the door locks are difficult to turn. This would be just the trick!
I would keep it in my car for when I evacuate,to
use when I comeback.
I would use Jig-a-loo on sticky window tracks, and squeaky doors, and maybe a squirt or two on my squeaky knees.
My husband and I are renting half of a duplex and have the hardest time trying to get our maintenance out here to do anything. I know I would use it on our windows so we can actually open them.
This season I will be using Jig-A-Loo for all my Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey, Honey-Do’s.
spray in my car door locks before winter
I definitely would like to spray it on my family’s boots and shoes-they always end up soaking wet and ruined during the winter
I would use it on my windows when we try to open the squeak and sometime have to pull hard.
Carla
Lube garage doors and hinges on all exterior doors
I would spray Jig-A-Loo around all of my outside windows.
We have SO many squeaky doors that this would be perfect for! Thanks for the contest!
I woulds use it on my gardening tools, cupboard hinges, doors and probably 100 other things!
Thank you for the great giveaway!

While doing the autumn window washing, this will be used in the window tracks.
OMGosh, something was squeaking the other day and I cannot remember for the life of me what it was but it was truly pinning on my LAST nerve. If I win I will use it on that object as soon as I hear it again, and I’m sure I will! Thanks for the chance!
cool i’d use it on the doorknobs in the house.
I am just a chick, but my husband would use this for everything that it is good for, and knowing my husband, for some things that it would be better that he didn’t.

I’d use it to protect my new outdoor glider bench from corrosion this winter

Living in Florida, we don’t really have much preparation to do for winter, but I would sure put it to use! I have locks on my doors that are getting harder to turn so I’m sure it would work great on them.
I would use it on my front door and every other door in my home. I would use it and then call hubby into the room and have him open and shut the door over and over making him guess what is different. hehe
Thanks for the contest.
I didn’t know Jig-A-Loo did so much! I thought it just stopped squeaks. We could use it on our window frames and the plumbing on our well. It would also be good to use on our shoes and boots to waterproof them! What a great product! Thanks for the great giveaway!

I have two dogs: a 35 pounder and a 55 pounder. When I take them out the front gate, I have 90 pounds of dog leashed to me and anxious to get out for a walk. I would like to Jig-a-loo the gate hinges and lock so I can slip out the gate easily and close it behind me quickly before I get dragged up the road! After the first block, they settle down and walk nicely. Jig-a-loo could make it easier and quicker to get back inside with two dogs and a smelly poopy bag…
