KitchenAid Artisan Mixer

The 10 things I want for my kitchen are now officially down to 9.
Happy mail came via the FedEx truck, and this is what’s sitting on my kitchen counter right now.

It’s a KitchenAid Artisan 5-quart stand mixer. I’ve been wanting this for a while, and finally got the chance to buy it (yahoo!). I special-ordered it from my local Linens N’Things, just so I could pick the color. The store only had black, white and metallic chrome. I initially picked metallic chrome, but realized I really wanted something colored and fun. And there are more than 15 colors to choose from!
My favorite color is blue, but I was just drawn to the pistachio-colored mixer. I’m glad it turned out just as I thought it would. The sales person asked me what color my kitchen is. Well, I have oak cabinets, white counters and appliances, blue kitchen towels and plates with green borders. So the only thing this matches in my kitchen are my plates! But that’s OK. It’s a happy happy color, and it makes me smile.
I got a good deal for it too. I was able to use a 20% off coupon. Since I ordered it through the store, I only paid $2 for shipping and handling. I didn’t even have to pick it up at the store (it was delivered right to my door)! Plus, there’s a promotion going on at Linens N’Things for any purchase of selected KitchenAid mixers until May 31. I get a bonus attachment of my choice from a food grinder, slicer/shredder or citrus juicer. So, more happy mail is coming in the next weeks to keep my mixer company.
If you want to get yours, or if you want to surprise someone with a belated Mother’s Day gift, there’s still time to get one of these babies!

I’m feeling the love! I got one for a Christmas present and everything tastes better. My family is digging it too, it’s like I’m always trying to bake things.
i’m so jealous. i’ve been covetting one for years. i want a red one.
Hi Deb, wow, I hope my mixer makes things taste better too!
Hi Dexie, I waited a while for the mixer. My old hand-held one is on the verge of dying, so I was finally glad to replace it. I hope you get your Artisan sooner rather than later. The red ones are gorgeous.
