Martha Stewart’s Influence Reaches Outer Space
Martha Stewart’s influence as a domestic diva is out of this world. Literally.
Stewart has prepared a gourmet meal for her friend Charles Simonyi, the software engineer behind Microsoft Word and now space tourist to the international space station. Simonyi, who paid more than $20 million to take the trip, will be sharing the meal with his space comrades sometime today or tomorrow.
The menu includes quail roasted in Madiran wine, duck breast confit with capers, shredded chicken parmentier, apple fondant pieces, rice pudding with candied fruit, and semolina cake with dried apricots.
Now, that is a sign of Martha Stewart’s universal appeal.
