Adding a chandelier to your dining room adds a great decorative and functional element. There are many models to choose from. The key is finding a right look and balance for the size of your room and table. One tip is to determine how high above the table the chandelier should hang.

In a room with 8-foot ceilings, the bottom of the chandelier should be 30 inches above the surface of the table. Simply add 3 inches for each additional foot of ceiling height. Now you can shop accordingly.
