Reminder to Clean Your Range Hood Filter

This is something I forget to do so this reminder comes at a good time. Cleaning the range hood filter is not a very obvious chore but it needs to be done once in a while. Here’s how:
Up inside, you’ll find a mesh filter — probably a bit sticky from built-up grease. Remove it and let it sit in a sink full of hot water and liquid dish detergent. Then scrub both sides with a brush and rinse it clean with more hot water. While there, wash out the inside of the hood, too.
It’s not recommended to clean the filter in the dishwasher as it will leave a greasy film behind, which can be very difficult to remove.

Truly a nasty job if you only do it once a year, which is what a lot of us who keep Passover strictly tend to do!
Thanks for the reminder.
What a cool blog!!!! I love it. I always forget the range hood, thanks! I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Thank you for your reminder here. Nice idea to remind it on your blog. Usually I do not forget to clean my kitchen hood, actually but it’s a nightmare to me to clean it.
