Seven Random Facts About the Woman Behind Keeping the Castle

I’ve been tagged, by Dexie of She Knows Best, to do this meme about seven random facts about me. I’ll try to keep to the theme (theme, meme! hey, they rhyme!) of this blog, which is keeping house, homemaking and general everyday stuff.
1. I own five mops, including a Swiffer, a sponge mop, and one made of yellow fabric that’s supposed to drink up liquid like nothing else in the world. In spite of this, my favorite way of cleaning the floor is the ‘ol rag-and-water foot-powered method.
2. I do not like to clean the house. There, I said it. It’s my least favorite of all the chores. But I don’t like to live in dirt either, so clean I must.
3. My favorite chore is cooking. I find it relaxing and nothing beats the reward of a yummy meal in the end.
4. I almost always do my laundry in this order: light-colored (except whites), followed by dark-colored, and then whites. I don’t know why.
5. I can completely remove the meat from cooked chicken using only a fork and knife. No bare hands for me!
6. I wear flip-flops inside the house, but don’t like wearing them outside.
7. I sweep the kitchen floor five times a day. No, it’s not OCD. I just have a little kid who’s studying the effects of gravity (ie. throwing his Cheerios to the floor). I cringe every time I step on one (crunch!) so I keep my broom handy.
Now, you know just a little bit more about me.

You’re sweet to think of me, but quite a while ago I had to quit doing memes like this because it really annoys people who subscribe to the blog by e-mail to get recipes if something like this comes to their e-mail box. I hope you’re not offended if I pass on it. Feel free to pick someone else if you’d like, and thanks again for thinking of me.
I hate to clean also but it has to be done. I looove cooking! I also clean the floor with my hands and knees- it’s the only way that really works. But a swiffer is handy for picking up the dog hair from the wood floors in the kitchen.

Hi SP, Yeah, I know what you mean. I also don’t like having to wash my hands so often and so long just to get the grease and smell off them. I just can’t touch other stuff unless my hands are totally clean!
