Healthy Recipes from Weight Watchers

It seems that anything that tastes good is loaded with fat, sugar, and calories.  It takes a lot of self-discipline to make it through all of the temptations.  This is why I like it when someone takes a recipe that is normally loaded with fat and tweaks it to make a healthier version.

Two Free Resources for Movie Reviews

As a parent, I am concerned about the movies my children watch.  I don’t have the time to screen each movie before they watch it, but I want to make sure what they’re watching is clean.  I don’t want to be surprised by inappropriate language or sexual content.
Thanks to free resources such as Plugged -In Online and Kids-in-Mind, you can quickly check out a movie’s sexual content, violence, language, drug use, and more.  Just this week a relative came over and wanted to know if my kids could watch Marley & Me.  I said, “No way!”  I pulled up Plugged In Online …read more

According to dentists, kids don’t brush their teeth long enough.  As we know, longer brushing leads to more plaque removal and a healthy smile.
To help kids remember to brush longer, Sunstar’s GUM® brand has come up with a fun and colorful light-up toothbrush.  The Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush has colorful lights in the handle that when activated by pushing the button, flash for 60-seconds to encourage kids to brush longer.  The Crayola toothbrush is available in blue, red, green, and yellow.
The Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush is recommended by dental hygienists and is said to increase brushing time with the help …read more
