20 Easy Ways I Help the Environment

Although do not consider myself a tree hugger, I try to do things that help the environment. These things usually help my pocketbook, as well.
Some of the ways I try to help are:
1. I bring my own reusable bags to the grocery store. Yes, sometimes I encounter some rolled-eyes from the baggers or heavy sighs, but I like bringing in my own bags. I can’t stand all of those plastic ones filling up my house. Besides, the reusable ones hold more and don’t break.

Getting the Kids Involved with the Laundry

We have talked a little about developing a laundry routine and I briefly mentioned getting the kids involved. Let me say, I believe in kids being kids and enjoying their childhood, but I also believe in them helping out a bit.
Our younger children are 3 and 5, so we have asked them to do simple things such as bring all the laundry baskets to the laundry room, take the laundry baskets back to the rooms, and put away the socks that I have already folded.
