Do You Take Off Your Shoes?

I’ve never been a stickler about having my family take off their shoes. Most of the houses that we have lived in had a sidewalk or something that helped to get the dirt off of our shoes before entering.
Now we live in a wooded area and it seems as though nothing is taking care of our dirt issue. I’ve started asking/telling/reminding my family to take off their shoes when they come inside, especially if they’ve been out in the yard.
