Deals at Linens N Things Liquidation Sales

This was a bit of sad news for me this weekend. My favorite store for linens and other household items is closing its doors. Linens N Things has announced that it is going out of business and will be holding liquidation sales at all its remaining stores nationwide.

Where will I get my linen fix now? I guess I should stock up. LNT merchandise will be on sale, both online and in brick and mortar stores. It’s time to grab up some of those deals!

Photo Book Savings at CVS

This week, CVS has a special “Free after Extra Bucks” promo for their photo books. The photo books are hardcover 10-page books that are printed in the Kodak Digital Kiosks inside CVS stores. The current promos are:

4”x6” 10 pg. Hardcover Photo Book (holds 36 photos maximum) – regular price is between $5.99 and $7.99; on sale for $3.99, PLUS $3.99 in Extra Bucks

6”x8” 10 pg. Hardcover Photo Book (holds 54 photos maximum) – regular price is $12.99; on sale for $7.99, PLUS $7.99 in Extra Bucks

The Extra Bucks generated means that the photo books are essentially FREE!

There isn’t much that I plan to buy at CVS this week, other than these so here’s my transaction today:

Back to School Deals at Staples

There are some great deals to be had at Staples until tomorrow, Wednesday, July 9, 2008. I went there tonight and found the following:

Dixon #2 yellow pencils, 8/pack, for 1 cent each (limit 2)

two-pocket paper folders for 1 cent each (limit 10)

1/2″ and 1″ poly assorted 3-ring binders, 25 cents each (limit 4)

150-sheet pack of notebook filler paper, 50 cents (may have limit)

I heard that 0.5 oz bottles of Purell hand sanitizer are also 1 cent each (limit 2), and that the limit for teachers is 25 of each penny item.

There aren’t any students in my home yet, but I use those notebook fillers a lot, so I stocked up.
