Unclutter Your Garage

Does your garage look like this? Or do old tools, clothes and newspapers sit where your car should be?
Unclutter your garage with some tips from Courtenay Edelhart of the Indy Star. For starters:
- Empty out the entire garage. While the space is empty, sweep the floors and remove cobwebs.
- Organize items into categories by their use. Group sports equipment, lawn tools, workshop tools and so on into their own piles.
- Throw away or get rid of items that do not belong in the garage or are no longer needed.
The garage is probably one of the most neglected parts of the house. It’s so easy to clutter it up since we don’t really “live” there. How many minutes do we spend in the garage everyday? We all tend to throw things in there and simply forget about them or postpone dealing with them. We need a reminder once in a while to keep it free from clutter.
When we finished our garage, we made sure to install a wall of pegboard for keeping tools off the floor. Here are some garage storage solutions from Lowe’s.
