I save all my dryer sheets.
I get a nice piece of fabric 12″ X 12″
lay a stack of dryer sheets in it.
I fold the fabric over to cover the sheets.
Roll it up to look like a hot dog bun basically
and sew all open ends.
You will see a hole in the middle that is where you pour some fabric softner.
only about 1/4 capful and squeeze the tube of fabric and throw in dryer leave in dryer.
Until you need to add more fabric softner insode of it.
Works for me.
I also use a little really soft washable stuffed bear.I pour a capful of fabric softner on it and let it sink in the bear then toss into dryer and walah!
he lives in my dryer..
and loves fabric softner poured all over his tummy..
works well any little soft washable stuffed animal will do…

A word of caution on the use of dryer sheets for mosquito control. A friend tried this trick by wiping the sheet over her arms, cheeks and forehead. Sweat carried the chemical to eyes which she wiped away with her hands compounding the problem. Painful stinging and hazing of her vision resulted. She flushed her eyes with water repeatedly and after a nights sleep the hazyness went away the stinging lasted through the next day. Yes she used the dryer sheet incorrectly by wiping down with it instead of tying it to a belt loop. But the chance of transfer from handling to the eyes is still possible especially for young children. FYI.

I have posted a use for used dryer sheets that is very simular to one of your uses. I use the used unsented Bounce to clean the hair from the lavatory. I always look for post of people with simular problems or solutions and found you.

I haven’t tried the unscented sheets, so I can’t tell you from experience. Do tell us if it works for you or not.

I have heard of all the wonderful uses of Bounce sheets but I use the unscented kind. Are these as useful in repelling ants, mice, and other insects and the scented kind? Please answer soon as I need to debug some pretty plants soon!!!

Hi Marie, Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I believe the sheets are fresh unless indicated, especially when they’ll be used for their scent.
