Where I Blog

The b5media Lifestyles Channel is having a channel-wide look into where and how its bloggers work. My workspace is really just a corner of our dining room. While we do have an office in the basement, it’s just more practical right now for me to be where the action is (ie., my kids, the kitchen, laundry, etc.). So here is where I work:
This is where my laptop is usually parked. I used to keep it on the dining room table. But I have since resolved to try and keep that horizontal space clear in between meals. The buffet table is just the right height for me. The crate on the right of the laptop is where I keep small scrapbooks and family albums. I have a basket and a small shelf on the bottom of the table for my blogging files and other materials. There is a shredder on the left for quick disposal of documents.
I’ve also carried the laptop around the house. I’ve blogged in bed, in front of the TV, on the kitchen counter. But this is where I do most of my work.

I envy you your portability, Maricar! I have GOT to get a laptop! I love that you are surrounded by your photos!
Wait, wasn’t it you who blogged behind the screen? I swear that was you – where’d the screen go? I like your space though. Pictures are good above a desk.
