Community Coffee Caffeinates NJ Town

Last week I read a story about a New Jersey town stopping the tradition of providing free coffee to its city employees. I made no comment about it here because, gee, how can that compete with VA Wheelchair races and having my thyroid removed?
To tell you the truth, I did not EVEN feel one shred of pity. My boss does not provide me with free coffee. She expects me to work long hours, take only two days off for surgery, and buy my own coffee. My boss is a pain.
Did I mention that I am self employed?
Anyway...Community Coffee read the plight of these undercaffeinated workers and their hearts were moved to pity. …
You know… seriously..do you think people who work at Community Coffee get free coffee?
So Community Coffee is donating coffee to these workers for one year. Hopefully by then the city can get its finances straightened out and pitch in for the coffee.
I just thought that was a nice thing for them to do. You can read the article at Philly.com

I don’t know of any government organization large or small that provides coffee to its employees. Really, all the ones that I know, the employees pitch in to maintain the pot, and pay for the coffee. So those guys were lucky for a while.
I thought so, Diana. Odd how people think they should be given things.
Community Coffee has a strong following here in S. Louisiana, and those who love it prefer the dark roast. It ships to La. natives all over the world who won’t drink anything else. (Just balancing the statement that may suggest something inferior in anything other than the more exotic blends.)
Cyndy, I dont think I made any such statement, I gave Community a great review as I recall.
