I Guess I Never Really Thought About It…

Apparently astronauts can’t just gulp down coffee in space. It would pose a hazard because the scalding coffee droplets would end up floating around until they landed on you and scalded you…Sort of like tiny heat seeking missiles.
I am sure that this makes sense, and everyone has realized this but me…but I don’t think about space travel a whole lot. I never considered whether the astronauts drank coffee or not. In fact, they don’t even need to worry about running out of water because researchers are working to perfect a way to recycle urine into drinking water.
yay. Wouldn’t you hate to be the taste tester on that? “Hey, nope, Sam, not quite..it is still a little yellow and…”
:::Marye deftly changes the subject:::
Well the astronauts DO drink coffee in space. Out of a squeeze bag..or they did. But now Don Pettit, out there in space, has invented a coffee cup especially made to allow you to drink coffee in zero gravity.
I have to wonder…what does a highly caffeinated astronaut DO in space? It gives a whole new meaning ot bouncing off the walls, doesn’t it?

Good to know for when I start my second career as an astronaut! Or you know, live in a zero gravity dwelling
Funny stuff you’ve got here.
I dunno Jennifer…I am totally rethinking my zero gravity dwelling plans…I mean..recycled pee?
No thanks..
