I’ll Have A Coffee, By George!

Happy President’s Day!
Did you know that drinking coffee was an act of patriotism?
In 1773 Congress made coffee the official national beverage. Drinking coffee was a way to rebel against the high taxes levies on tea by the British.
Pubs gave way to coffee houses, places where men gathered to make important decisions about the future of the Colonies. The New York Stock Exchange was even created at a coffee house.
George Wahington was a man that I have alot of respect for, not just because he enjoyed a good coffee but because he made so many thought provoking statements. This is one of my favorite quotes of his, and I think it bears consideration in this society of ours:
It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy to deprive a man of his natural liberty upon the supposition he may abuse it. George Washington
So today, drink a cup of coffee in honor of good old George. Any excuse is a great one.

Funny picture. I suppose coffee houses are way cooler than pubs. Interesting facts.
I dunno…I think it would depend on the time of day
We drink coffee all day. I abstain when their is no cream. Going to make a big pot now for the long haul ahead tonight, add in some Stok caffine boosts.
Yeah, those deadlines are toast! It’s the American way.
