Oh I want to try that Lassie with rosewater, that sounds delicious.

  2. Marye says:

    Doesn’t it? :)

  3. Julie F. says:

Clover makes a great tea, it smells so good. I wasn’t aware of how sweet white clover was until I tried a cup once. My grandfather introduced me to red clover when I was a kid.

I’m glad you included dandelion, so many people forget ‘weeds’. Wild violets are great to add into foods, too!

And I saw the elderflower syrup…it reminds me of my favorite drink. St. Germaine elderberry liquer. You add a small amount into cluda soda or like I do, another clear soda like Sprite. It is low alcohol and is really more for flavor than anything else. It tastes so wonderful, like sitting next to and elderberry bush and drinkingg the scent.

  4. Marye says:

I miss elderberries. The do not grow near us but I used to pick them when we lived in Pa.

  5. Julie F. says:

I saw some bushes today. Going to grab them when they’re ready! Haven’t had them in ages.

  6. Ivory Spring says:

What an interesting post, Marye – I learned a lot. Thanks for sharing!

    Have a wonderful day!
