In The Tale of Peter Rabbit you will recall that Peter was sick because of his disobedience and Mama Rabbit sent him to bed with some chamomile tea.

Well, according to recent medical reports she wasn’t far off..in fact…she was right on.

Medical News Today reports that not only is chamomile good for your stress levels, drinking a cup of it with every meal helps prevent the complications of diabetes as well as lower blood glucose levels. So much so that there is talk of creating a drug to treat Tyep 2 Diabetes based on chamomile.

Chamomile is great for stress, tummy aches in babies and children, and cramps.  It is a wonderfully soothing and relaxing tea that, depending on the type you get, has a lovely elusive apple flavor.

You can get chamomile tea in bags but really if you want the full experience of it ( I mean you might as well enjoy your medicine, right? ) try one or more of the following:

Teavana Tranquil Dreams -fruity and citrus-y

Teavana Peach Tranquility -peaches and pineapple with other flavors

Adagio Foxtrot- I love this tea.  It is relaxing and invigorating at the same time..like a swim in a cool lake on a hot day. Peppermint, chamomile, and Rooibus

Mountain Rose Herbs FairyTale Tea- light and floral..and who can resist the name?
