I understant Chrissy... was thinking the other day Iwould gladly endure one of my mom's tirades for a few minutes with her.
I don;t remember wedding oats..but I remember when Dolly Parton helped sell the clothes soap with towels in it.

Marye:

Glad you had a great trip.

I looked at the grocer's for Red Rose, but I couldn't find it. I know I have seen it recently, maybe at a different store. I remember my grandmother using it and also remember she gave me the elephant, squirrel and owl.
Sort of off topic of tea, but do you remember or know of "Wedding Oats"? It is oatmeal that came with the plastic tumblers inside the box. I am from the South so don't know if it was just marketed here or not. After a short period of non-production, it is back on the shelves here. I love the things that remind me of "Nanny" and the "good 'ol days". Wish we could go back for a visit.......

Happy Saturday,
Chrissy :)

Oh my. Red rose tea. We couldn't get it in Illinois when I was a kid, and my Mom's 'rents were from Canada. We got it there, and they had those cute little ceramic animals in the tea boxes, remember? I had a HUGE collection of them - I wonder what ever happened to them.
