Yanno, I see both sides too. The church we call "our church" (even though we haven't been there in over a year because it's so far away)....is building a new church. They outgrew the building in a BIG way, which is AWESOME. The teen group is well over a hundred strong every week, and they have to hold three services each weekend to fit everyone in. AWESOME AWESOME stuff there. The new church is just incredible. They're calling it a campus..its HUGE. It'll even have a train to take the kids over to Kid's Church....a Christian store...and a cafe/coffee shop.

On one hand I think it's AWESOME to have such a safe place to hang out as a family, or as a single person even!!! But yea...then there's the money issue. My church has raised it all.....I don't think they have incurred any debt along the way, which is great. But like you say....a LOT could be done with that much money.

So how do you balance serving your local Church versus serving the worldly church. It's crazy...I'm glad I don't have to make the decision.
