The post was beautiful. Sadly, I think the only thing holding me back besides physical distance is that she cannot relax enough to do something or talk. I suppose I will just have to pray that we get the time and use it wisely. I would love to be able to spend some times with her. I have always considered the fact that anything could happen and they wouldn't be there. I cannot imagine the feeling. I have recently decided at some point soon, to go and visit in a local rest home, especially to men and women whom do not have family to visit them. Maybe I will for Mothers' day. :)

Also, the photo is very cute, and for not having any make up and a supposed "bad hair day", I think you are very beautiful!

You're so right...after witnessing just how broken my own mother was when she lost her mother (my nanna), I realized that my mother wouldn't be around forever, that there was a time limit on how long we would have our laughs, days out, nights in, cuddles and even arguments. Since then, I try and have a special day with just her once a month, and remind her that I love her at every opportunity.

And every memory, good and bad, is being committed to heart.

Oh, and that photo of you and your daughter is adorable, the wee lass perched on your lap :)

[...] I am going to unabashedly promote my own post today. Some of you may not know that I also do a blog called Kettle and Cup about, what else? Coffee and tea. All week long I have been doing a Tea with Me tour of our house there but the post I want you to read is Something Different for Mother’s Day. [...]
