Starbucks Gold Card…Because You Can

You know, I almost feel like I should retitle Kettle and Cup something like All Starbucks All the Time.
Starbucks has a new program. It is called Starbucks Gold and it costs 25.00. O.k..that is something like the equivalent of two pounds of coffee. BUT for this 25 bucks you get to be one of the cool kids…they reserve your chairs, they give you your own parking…
O.k..no they don’t. That so was not true. It would be cool if they did though, wouldn’t it? Seriously, for the 25 smackerooos you get the following perks (get it? Perks? ) for one year:
- 10% off most purchases (I will have to let you know what “most ” means”
- Free beverage on your birthday (I’ll take Champagne, thanks)
- Exclusive offers and discounts
- 2 hours of freeWi-Fi per day
- Option to pay however you want ( I am not clear on this either)
- Free refills on brewed coffee
And a whole lot of other stuff. Check it out. I think for $25 it is a great deal.
And with my new RED laptop..I may be moving my office to Starbucks!

LOL on the two free hours of WiFi per day. In our local paper they did an article today on local coffee and sandwich joints with WiFi. According to the reporter, the Starbucks in our area have 2 free hours of WiFi each day anyway. I wonder if they’re yanking your chain on that one or if it varies by area?

I also think the free beverage on your b-day should be standard without a gold card!
Peggy, ITA. I may be biased of course…They do fireworks in England for my birthday almost yearly…
(But they let the Queen think it is for her)…so I expect all sorts of perks.
