Starbucks Raspberry Thumbprint Scone

 raspberries

Marc and I had a short coffee date this afternoon after our lovely morning at the VA which lead to a lovely afternoon at the Va if you know what I mean.

We needed this  coffee date.  BAD.

Marc had not eaten since breakfast and I had not eaten all day so I ordered us each a little something to go with our caramel macchiatos/Venti/extra whipped cream/for here cups.

Being the adventuresome blogger girl that I am I chose the raspberry thumbprint scones.

Normally I will not eat Starbucks’ pastries because they are dry and …uh…dry. Stale-ish.

Raspberry is my very favorite.  So I caved.  Starvation will do that to you.

It was dry, but the idea was a good one.  The raspberry tasted like raspberry.  The scone…eh…

So next week, after I grocery shop I am going to recreate it, MY way which you know will be good, and post the recipe.  I think that I am going to add white chocolate drizzle to the top for a little “TaDa!”

If you happen to be at Starbucks buy one and let me know what you think…That way, when you create the recipe I am going to give you you will have something to compare it with. ;)    Seriously, of the things I have tried there I like these and the petite vanilla scones the best.

    Hi Marye,
If it’s anything offered by Starbuck’s I’ll pass. I would on occasion have one of thier Mocha Chip Frapp’s until I discovered they use Soy Milk. Have you ever done any studies on soy? Very interesting! It causes the most violent hotflashes I’ve ever experienced. Now aren’t you glad you know that?
    I hope you’re having a fun weekend.

Hey Cori, I won;t use soy products for many reasons, and the phyto estrogens are certainly ONE reason…I won;t let my boys drink it either.
