You know that not only do I love to support indy companies but I love to support companies that are actually doing something positive in the world. Beuna Beans is one of these companies. Here’s why:
Buena Beans brings the coffee from La Violeta, Costa Rica to the American market and uses the profits to improve the local school. It is run by Kate Schneider, a former volunteer teacher in the town.

Buena Beans sent me their Cafe La Violeta to try. I will get to the review of that in a minute. Let’s just chat about the company for a sec, shall we?
The coffees are roasted in small batches every day. They are grown using sustainable practices, and the farmers that grow the coffee are paid a living wage, which means…you know…that they can actually live on it. Warning: rant en route…
