The holidays are nearly upon us, folks. I like holiday cups but I hate the fact that once January hits they look kinda forlorn. I think this one would work for me most of the fall and winter. I love it.

It is no secret that I really don’t like the current administration. And, if the truth be known, I don’t like the increasing government intrusion that seems to have occurred over the past decade or so. I  think that the Consititution has been turned into a list of suggestions, much like the Ten Commandments.

I love surfing Etsy when I get the chance..which isn’t often. Truth be known, part of the reason I post Etsy finds here on Saturdays is to give myself an excuse to spend valuable time perusing it!

I love this tree mug. It is appeals to me because of the texture and the color differences. AND it holds 18 oz of coffee. I could drink my Morning Mayhem in this with no problems at all…Sitting on my porch..waiting for the leaves to turn crimson…and knowing they never will because I am in Texas.

I don’t like modern art.  I don’t like Picasso. I have no desire to gaze at a nude woman with three breasts, all of which look like the corner of a magazine page.
Lest you think I am an artsy version of a redneck that lives in a trailer park Iwill add that before I was a writer..and before I was a mom… I made a decent living as an artist and was featured in some upscale galleries. I love Dali, Rembrandt, Rockwell, and even Peter Max….but not Picasso.

I told you I was going to to try to do this. I see so many hysterical coffee mugs that I would love to add to my collection…LOL! The one from this week is the perfect way to let your family know when to back off.

I have found the coolest coffee cup ever. Well at least for today. Decided to share it with you. Maybe I will do this on a more regular basis, I don’t know.
I love Shakespeare, and most of the kids have a tolerence for it, if not full fledged love. And, as happens with many big families, once in awhile good natured insults seem to fly back and forth.  Ethan, in particular, is the most likely one to break out the Elizabethan vernacular and taunt his siblings with unique descriptions of their characters.
