As much as I think it is a terrible thing to actually ingest soy products, I think that soy candles are the absolute coolest. Seriously.
First of all, they don’t contain the toxins that conventional candles do, so if you find that the scented candles give you a nasty chemical headache, give soy a try. Normally they will not.

The scents are stronger and …best of all..they come in coffee scents!

The scents are stronger and …best of all..they come in coffee scents!

I really don’t care for floral scented candles in my home. I am not a floral-y sort of person. Other than a brief tete a tete with Muguet des Bois when I was a teen I have been all about the spicy scents…. Opium ws always a favorite..and I felt it suited me. Not alot of 16 year olds had the confidence to wear something that dramatic but I did..and loved it..

Anyway…For candle scents I love things like chocolate, mocha, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and coffee scents of all sorts. These are at their best in the clean burning soy candles.

Best of all people are putting them in cool coffee mugs! Sensational Wicks has coffee scented candles in Irish Coffee Mugs. The scents include:

Creme Brulee Coffee

French Roast

Hazelnut Cappuccino

The Soy Box has only two flavors but the mugs are cute and the candles are sprinkled with cinnamon and have cinnamon sticks in them!

Hazelnut Latte

Cappuccino

Anyway.. Soy candles.are not difficult to make and there are hundreds of scents..You could even mix your own..Can you imagine coffee caramel latte? Or Mocha almond?

If you are starting to think about homemade gifts fot Christmas this might be where to start. I know we have a thrift shop nearby that sells coffee mugs for less than $1 each.

Make the candle, wrap it in tulle, tie with a french wired ribbon…You can’t go wrong! And just think of all that nasty soy you will be keeping off the grocery store shelves!
