Welcome to the Coffee Wars

My family and I watched Bride Wars last friday night. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie.  I was reminded how people can get really bent out of shape from silly things that seem important at the time.

Well, move on from Bride Wars to Coffee Wars.  Starbucks, Panera, McDonalds, and Dunkin Donuts seem to be in a hand to throat battle over your coffee dollar.  Don’t you feel important?

Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee Day

April 21st is a pretty important day.  It is my birthday, and that is important but believe it or not there is something even better.  I know, right? Strange to contemplate but there you have it.  There are things more important and even cooler than me.

Dunkin Donuts is promoting Iced Coffee Day. On Tuesday, April 21, 2009 Dunkin Donuts will be selling iced coffees for 50 cents and every sale of those coffees means the Dunkin Donuts will contribute to Homes for Our Troops.  They will be giving 10 percent and a miniumum of 100,000.00

Finally, Dunkin Donuts Wholebean

I finally found some Dunkin Donuts whole bean coffee and decided to try it. I had heard both good and bad things about it and you know, it is important to make up your own mind.
So…I found it at Target last night during the bi-weekly emptying of my checking account..

Dunkin Donuts Coffee

When I was growing up on the East Coast, Dunkin Donuts was a weekly ritual for my dad and I…one of many. Back then you went to Dunkin Donuts for some awesome fried dough, and the coffee was incidental.
When we moved to Texas in 1971 Dunkin Donuts was not even a rumor. There was Winchells Donuts, and even Lone Star Donuts…
