If you have fresh fruit on hand cube it up and flash freeze it in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Once it is frozen you can put it in storage containers.  Rather than reaching for the ice the next time you are making a glass of sweet tea just add a few cubes of the frozen fruit. 
Nearly anything works:

watermelon
cantaloupe
 strawberries (leave whole)
peaches
plums

Rather than watering the drink down as it melts it adds a burst of flavor and it looks really good too!
