Kohana Hawaiian Prime is not a medium roast. The bag says medium roast but it isn’t. At all. Nope.
Hawaiian Prime is smooth and mellow. It has a full bodied fruity flavor reminiscent of a good red wine…it teases you with a hint of cloves and finishes with hazelnut. I am still sitting here sipping in disbelief that it is tagged medium roast. It almost hurts me to say it but this the type of sultry coffee I love…so it can’t be a medium roast.

This is Marc’s and my favorite coffee from Kohana Coffee so far.
Kohana Panama is silky smooth with flavors of smoky cinnamon toast and rose.
The one thing I can say about Kohana coffee, at least so far, is that the coffee is unique. I think at this point I could pick out a cup of Kohana in a blind taste test. This is a sweet brew in more ways than one. Not quite the sexiness of an Italian roast…more like a Boho poet. Romantic and deep, with flashes of the unexpected. This is a barefoot coffee, one for gazing at sunrises and sunsets, walking barefoot in the park, listening to jazz with your …read more

Antigua Bella Carmona….Just fun to say, isn’t it?
This is the first coffee that Marc and I tried from Kohana Coffee. The beans have a strong traditional coffee scent, with a very faint but pleasant tobacco aroma. When I smell this particular combination in coffee it reminds me of misty country mornings and percolated coffee.
By the way, if you ever want to make my husband very..very…VERY nervous..just set a cup of coffee on the edge of a laptop while it is on the bed. And look how pathetic my keyboard it..about fifteen of the keys have worn off and it isn’t …read more
