Trying a New Coffee Roaster

I finally got around to ordering coffee. I so wish we had a shop in the area but we don’t. I think the next step will be green beans and a roasting machine..and I think that is in the next few weeks.
Anyway, as I was searching for roasters that I had not tried a small microroaster from New Hampshire showed up…they specialize in organic/fair trade beans.
Some of the coffees that they have available piqued my interest. The site claims that they roast within 24 hours of your order and ship immediately. If this is truly the case then I should have the coffee beans by Tuesday?
The company is called Terra Nova. Nice graphics, good descriptions. My main complaint is that they don;t have many dark roasts and you know that is my favorite. I am looking forward to trying the beans I got.
I bought a pound each of
- Southern Cross
- Colombian Mesa de los Santos
- Equatorial Bold
Looking forward to it!

I got hooked on fresh roasted coffee when I worked in a coffee roaster a few years ago. I don’t have my own roaster… but I can make a pretty good full city roast in a popcorn popper
The only downside is that it has to be warm enough to do it outside – it’s pretty smoky!
Chloe..I had thought about that..but I think I am going to buy a “real” one to take care fo the smoke and all.
