Bringing the Garden to the Classroom

potted basil plantSchool is getting ready to start soon, and that means new teachers, and new friends. Start the year off right by presenting your new teacher with a potted plant to put on her desk, or by a window in the classroom. This would also be the perfect time to bring a few extra plants inside. Studies have shown that plants help concentration and improve memory. They also have a calming effect and make you feel better. So great addition to the classroom or a room where homework is usually done!

What a great idea! I think I just might do this for my kids’ teachers this year. I’m excited! :)

One of my favorite classes in High School was my senior English Lit class. She always had plants on the windows and shelves. It definitely made a huge difference in the atmosphere of the room.

I think I need some plants in my office. I do use aromatherapy for concentration but using plants is such a great idea and cleans the air — which obviously helps the old thinkin’ process.
