Free Trees
Deborah over at Simply Thrifty found a great site that is giving away free tree seedlings! Anytime you can get a couple good seedlings for free is a good deal. Not sure what kind of trees they are, but it is being promoted by the National Arbor Day Foundation, and Doubletree Hotels, who have a history of creating re-greening awareness in schools and communities. It is a part of a “Pledge to Plant” 50,000 new trees this month. This definitely appeals to both thrifty and environmental minded people alike!
Free trees, I could use a few for a greening project that I am working on but that is a bit too far from here.
I’m not sure, but I think they mail them too your house. Though you’re probably right since its a different climate! Perhaps they send you trees that are suitable? I’ll try it out and let you know!
