Give An Herb Garden

Herb Garden courtesy of Stockxpert.comGive your favorite gardener everything they need to create an indoor herb garden this Christmas. You can purchase a pre-made Culinary Herb Garden kit, or buy all the items to make your own.

If you decide to create your own, you can pick a culinary theme for your indoor garden. Some great culinary herbs to include are basil, oregano, mint, chives, scented geraniums, and rosemary. Buy potted plants at your local nursery, or purchase seeds.

Don’t forget to include soil, and an organic fertilizer. You may want to include a small grow light to help the herb garden grow through the winter months. Purchase one large pot for all of the plants to share, or several medium size pots for each plant to have their own. Bundle everything together in a large basket, pot, or planter.

Gardeners love to grow all year round. Your gardening friend will thank you for the burst of green the herb garden adds to their winter months.

This is actually what I’ve been considering giving my aunt. I was going to buy a kit but I like your idea of rounding stuff up and making one yourself. Then I could personalize it; maybe paint the pots.

One great theme, in case you have readers with kids is a pizza herb garden. You can plant all the main pizza herbs and then let kids to make pizzas with them.
    Good post.
