We’re giving away 6 cans of Thompson’s Water Seal Clear Multi-Surface Aerosol Waterproofer®, to one lucky Mother Earth’s Garden reader, courtesy of the folks at Thompson’s Water Seal®. That’s the same Thompson’s Water Seal® that you put on your deck, but in a 12 ounce aerosol can!
The aerosol is great for:
- Spraying on terra cotta pots before you use them. It helps them last longer (unless you drop them).
- Help clay chimneys hold up against nature.
- Seal birdhouses against the elements.
- It will repel water on wood, brick and concrete.
- It’s safe for plants so you can coat window boxes to protect them from the weather.
There are many more uses in the backyard and garden.
If you’d like to win 6 cans of Thompson’s Water Seal Clear Multi-Surface Aerosol Waterproofer®, simply leave a comment on this post between now and midnight (EST) August 10th, letting us know how you’d use your cans of Thompson’s Waterproofer®.
Please don’t leave a generic, “I want that,” or “Pick me” comment, I would hate to disqualify you because you didn’t follow the rules. Good luck!
This giveaway is being held in conjunction with the Bloggy Giveaways, some of them end this weekend, so after you enter here hop over there and check out all the other wonderful giveaways.

I have alot of birdhouses and lawn ornaments that I could use this on.
When I rebuild the bottom of the handicap accessible ramp for my dad, I’m going to use these to treat the wood so it doesn’t rot. After two years the ramp boards are splitting up.

Hi, a want use this product to protect dog house, its dangerous for my pet???
I would use this product to product a small section of fence that I had to replace. It would be very convenient to do this with a spray can! I also would tell my brother about it. He’s a big do-it-yourselfer.
I would use Thompson’s Waterproofer on a new bird bath I’m finishing. And any left over, I have several other outdoor stuff to protect from the weather.

my 92 yrs old “young” great grandmother live in her home alone and would wonder how many cans of this i would need to have a right amount to barrier the front stone tiled patio roof to the down stairs basement rec room. she lives by her self and want to make this a safe living quarters. so i want to do a great job fixing; to be asurd if this is the right route to take.or a possible better aproach. /dougger
I’d use this on all my primitive decorative wood pieces that I create out of refurbished barn wood, as well as on the old wooden boxes found in abandoned barns and estate/auction sales.
20 years ago I built a wooden cottage mailbox for
my daughter in Maryland. I had installed miniature shingles on the roof and I sealed the pine wood of
the house plus the shingles using Thompson’s Waterseal. Last month I received a request for a
new mailbox and I am currently building it for her.
I would use the spray cans of Thompson’s to seal this new mailbox. The original one could be placed in the Smithsonian it is still in such good condition. I want the new mailbox to last 20 years also.
I plan to use Thompson’s Water Seal on factory painted steel roofing material. I’m hoping that it will reduce snow accumulation. Snow sticks at bottom edge of roof and accumulates over the winter. Any comments about possible paint discoloration???
