What are my gardening goals for 2008, and what are my goals here at Mother Earth’s Garden?
My gardening goals for 2008:
1. I have several houseplants that need re-potted. I plan to re-pot them in the upcoming months, so they’ll be ready for spring growth spurts.
2. I would like to add a new water feature to my garden this summer. I would like to “redo” an old concrete trough into a fishpond. If I accomplish this, I’ll show you the renovation process. If I chicken out on that major project, I want to add a small pond to my main perennial garden.
3. I want to plant at least 7 new trees this spring. They will probably be a combination of evergreens and fruit trees.
4. I want to have less weeds in my garden this year. Notice I didn’t say I want no weeds.
5. I will start more seedlings of my own this year, to save on the cost of buying plants.
6. I would like to leave the soil in my garden in better shape in the fall, than it was in the spring before I panted my crops. How can I do this? By adding organic amenities, and compost to the soil throughout the growing season.
My goals for Mother Earth’s Garden in 2008:
1. I want to show you some great online resources to help improve your gardening skills in 2008.
2. I will bring you reviews of the latest gardening books, gadgets, and products.
3. Create gardening tutorials to help you create and maintain your 2008 garden.
4. I want to hear what gardening topics you would like to see covered at Mother Earth’s Garden in 2008, so let me know what you would like to see more of here.
