Pumpkins Make Great Serving Bowls

Pumpkins have many uses, you can carve them, paint them, cook them, and did you know you can use them for serving bowls?
Just cut the top off the pumpkin. You can make a fancy scalloped, or wavy edge, or just cut it straight around. Scoop out the pulp and the seeds. You can roast the seeds if you don’t want them to go to waste.
Spray a light coating of no stick cooking spray inside the pumpkin, then place your pumpkin on a cookie sheet, and bake it at 350` until the flesh of the pumpkin is tender to the touch.
You can use your pumpkin bowl to hold soups, potato and sweet potato dishes, or desserts. If you use the pumpkin bowl right out of the oven it will keep your food warm for up to half an hour.

Very cute idea – I’m going to try this one out this weekend!
That is soooo pretty. Thanks Linette.
