Budget Weddings Idea: Join Contests

I’ve always run contests in my 2 blogs here at b5media but never thought I’d win any contest I’d join myself.
I recently found out that I won in one of the contests I participated in. This was the Thoroughbred Fever blog with prize of $200 Amazon Gift Certificate! I was so chuffed to say the least.
Now when it comes to weddings. You can join wedding-related (or not-so-related) contests. This is a way to ’save’. I know of couples who won thousands of dollars just by joining contests or sharing their wedding proposal stories and the like.
You can do this too! What I’d warn you though is that don’t let joining contests distract you from your ultimate goal — that is, preparing for your wedding!
I just thought it’d be nice to share with you the wonderful news about my win.
What did I buy?
I bought Domino’s Book of Decorating and the 2nd generation Ipod Touch — yes, it was more than $200 but I only had to shell out a bit more to get what I wanted.
