Given the chance, what would you change in your wedding?

If you had the chance to go back in time and do it again, what would you change about your wedding?
I was reflecting on this the other day and thinking back on our own wedding day and thought, “What would I do differently in our wedding?”
The first thing that came to mind was inviting more people. For a Filipino wedding, a guest list of 120 is called ‘intimate’. My Husband is English and to him, having 120 guests at his wedding is a spectacle! I didn’t want to overwhelm him on our special day so I was ruthless in trimming the guest list down. Now, if I have to do it all over again. I’d invite my other friends whom I wanted to be there to share my special day. There were some I am sure I have hurt because I didn’t invite them.
The second one would be the venue. I would’ve wanted a garden wedding reception. We had ours in a hotel because my Mum thought it’d be too hot and sticky for guests to have an outdoor wedding in the Philippines. I suppose she was right but I’ve found cool outdoor wedding reception venues in Manila now that offer ‘airconditioned’ parts in their outdoor venues. Great idea eh?
I can’t think of anything else I’d want to change. What about you? What would you have changed given the chance?

I would totally have picked a different hair dresser. I always had a dream of how I wanted my hair on my wedding day and that dream was crushed. One of my bridesmaids who happened to be a professional hair dresser was late coming to the church to do my hair. She took all of her time on her own hair. I was so miffed. I only had 20 minutes to do my hair. My other bridesmaids each took a curling iron and made ringlets which turned out really cute, just not what I wanted for my wedding. I am still bitter about it 9 years later LOL
